HOW TO CLEAR HOT WATER COILS: Shut off water leading to coil. Disconnect coil inlet and outlet. On the inlet side, connect a copper or brass standpipe at least 6” higher than the outlet side. Check chart below for proper strength. To dilute, always add P-FREE™to the water, using cold water only. DO NOT HEAT!  Carefully and slowly pour the P-FREE™ solution into the stand-pipe. If lime is present in the coil, immediate foaming action will be noted from the outlet connection of the coil. At intervals, continue adding P-FREE™. When all foaming action stops, the coil is clean. Flush coil thoroughly with cold water and when the water runs clear continue flushing for 10 minutes. Most coils can be cleaned quickly on the job. However, if the coil is completely clogged, remove it and  submerge in a vat of P-FREE™, full strength. Let remain until clear, then flush thoroughly before reinstalling.
